Your hostess, Josephine Kitchin, welcomes you to our home in the heart of Robin Hood country. Grange Cottage is a 300 year old Georgian house with oak beams, leaded lights and both beautiful and extensive gardens, complete with a wishing well in the drive.

My husband and I have lived in the village of Farnsfield for 33 years, and here at Grange Cottage for 28 years. We are delighted to share our much loved home with you.
We can offer you welcoming surroundings and good breakfasts, home-cooked from local produce. If you prefer, we can offer a packed lunch instead of breakfast for those long days out with early starts.
Your pets are very welcome here, however we operate a no smoking policy in the house. We also offer secure on site parking with electric gates.
Grange Cottage is central to many footpath routes.
We have an AA rating of 3 red diamonds.

Grange Cottage was built around 300 years ago, has diamond leaded light windows and 3 twin bed letting rooms - one of which is en suite and another has a private bathroom next door. You will take breakfast in the original oak beamed dining room.

Some 4 miles away is the attractive minster town of Southwell which boasts an extensive range of restaurants and shops. The historic market town of Newark is just 14 miles away and Nottingham 15 miles.

Nestling in a most attractive setting, embraced by beautiful countryside
Grange Cottage has two acres of spectacular gardens featuring a significant
number of mature trees, lawns, flowers beds and ponds.
At Grange Cottage B & B we try harder. We do all we can to make your stay pleasant. You can have barbeques on the patio, wander through the floodlit gardens or simply sit on the swing seat and do nothing at all. We can arrange for a taxi to collect you from the railway station or airport, if you require.

Grange Cottage is located in the very attractive Nottinghamshire village of Farnsfield which has a church, school, 3 pubs and extensive shops and is situated on the edge of Sherwood Forest.

The extensive grounds to Grange Cottage include a cottage garden and formal garden and a woodland garden is currently under construction in an acre of land.

There are more than 120 mature trees including Ash, Sweet Chestnut, Rowen, Holly, Yew, Larch, Weeping Willow and Silver Birch. In one of the ponds are Koi Carp. The formal garden includes a rill, lilly pond and waterfalls.
